LANAP® — Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure — is an FDA-cleared laser protocol used by board-certified periodontist Dr. Bita Farhoumand to treat periodontal (gum) disease without cutting or sutures.
Unlike traditional gum surgery, which involves cutting and stitching the gum tissue, LANAP® uses a precise laser wavelength (PerioLase® MVP-7) to gently eliminate diseased tissue and bacteria while leaving healthy gum tissue completely untouched.
